Privacy Policy

We appreciate you using a website, mobile app, or other online service that is owned by us and run by TJS Beauty Secrets India Pvt. Ltd. or one of its related companies (collectively, “Company,” “Us,” “We,” or “Our,” “TJS”). This privacy statement describes the data TJS could collect, as well as how We utilise and safeguard that data.

This Privacy Statement only applies to the ways in which We collect, use, and disclose information about you when using the Service; it is not applicable to how We may use or disclose information about you when using other TJS services or when we engage in activity off the Service.

There may be further disclosures about information practices and choices for certain features of the service. For information on how those additional privacy disclosures pertain to you, please read them. You confirm that you accept the terms of Our current Privacy Statement, which is displayed here, and Our Service Terms of Use by using Our Service in any form, including browsing or engaging. You may and should not use Our Service if you disagree with Our policies as outlined in this Privacy Statement.

2. Revisions

Your use of the Service constitutes your agreement to the privacy statement in force at the time of usage. TJS retains the right to modify this privacy statement at any time, prospectively taking effect upon posting the amended privacy statement. To the extent that it is not obtained pursuant to the revised privacy statement, We will not, however, utilise your previously collected TJS-Collected PI (defined below) in a manner fundamentally different from that which was represented at the time of collection without your consent. If a competent tribunal determines that any part of this privacy statement is invalid or unenforceable, that part of the statement will be severed to the extent required to make the remaining parts valid and enforceable.

3. Collection of Data

You can visit Our Service anonymously and without providing any information about yourself, however doing so might prevent you from using some TJS services. However, you have the option to give (“Personal Information”) (defined as information that identifies you personally, such as your first and last name, e-mail address, phone number, address, and full payment account number).

TJS may gather a variety of details about you, including but not restricted to:

  1. List of your contact details, including your name, address, zip code, city, state, province/territorial, and phone number.
  2. Preferences for products.
  3. “Demographic information,” which includes a person’s age range, gender, date of birth, marital status, zip code, and the make-up of their household. Demographic Information is “non-Personal Information” unless otherwise required by applicable law (i.e., data that is not Personal Information under this Privacy Statement).
  4.  “Usage Information,” which includes your IP address, device identifier, browser type, operating system, details about how you use the Service, and information about network-connected hardware (e.g., computer or mobile device). TJS does not regard Usage Information (including, without limitation, unique device identifiers) as Personal Information or TJS-Collected PI, unless otherwise required by applicable law or to the extent that Usage Information is coupled with Personal Information by or on behalf of TJS.
  5. SSN, or Social Security Number (in limited circumstances TJS may collect SSN, for example if you win a sweepstakes or receive compensation that must be reported for government tax purposes).
  6. Images and recordings (e.g., that are submitted by customers via websites such as part of contests or sweepstakes).
  7. Information from an employment application, such as an SSN, driver’s licence, financial data, background check results, and gender or race (as allowed by law).

 

TJS will gather the Personal Information you give us (“TJS-Collected PI”) if you choose to take part in Service activities like website registrations, competitions, sweepstakes, questionnaires, surveys, consumer service contacts, product purchases, mobile applications, social media platforms, or through Our Career Center or employment inquiries. For the purposes outlined below, we might add to or combine the information you directly give Us with information from other sources, including third parties. If any data is merged by TJS or on its behalf with TJS-Collected-PI, TJS will treat the combined data in accordance with this Privacy Statement as TJS-Collected-PI.

4. Use of Information 

In accordance with this Privacy Statement and any written representations we make at the time of collection, we collect, maintain, and use your TJS-Collected-PI, other Personal Information, and other information for a variety of purposes, including: – determining and confirming the identity and eligibility of users; – uploading and displaying your postings and other submitted content (referred to as “User Generated Content” or “UGC”). (See Section 6 of the Terms of Use for more details on how UGC is handled by the Service. See Section 5 for further information about the openness of UGC.

  1. establishment, upkeep, management, and administration of user profiles, accounts, or memberships;
  2. handling transactions, providing services, or enforcing laws, as well as communicating about them;
  3. offering users products, services, and support;
  4. holding competitions, surveys, and sweepstakes and publishing the findings;
  5. managing and enhancing the Service, including personalising it in accordance with users’ preferences;
  6. distributing product or service upgrades to users;
  7. providing advertisements, deals, and other informational materials that are specifically targeted;
  8. answering your queries, requests, remarks, and directives;
  9. preserving the safety and reliability of Our systems;
  10. knowing what consumers desire among many brands;
  11. keeping relationships with customers;
  12. assessing the safety and performance of products;
  13. adhering to laws, policies, and other requirements; and
  14. enhancing our goods and services as well as our other corporate objectives.

Your information is used to manage the application process, to educate you about career opportunities, and to consider you for employment when you submit an application for a job or an internship through Our Careers Center. We may request self-identifying information from you in accordance with applicable laws and regulations enforced by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”), the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (“OFCCP”), and comparable state and local regulatory bodies (such as veteran status, gender and ethnicity). Although giving us such self-identifying information is optional, if you do, We may disclose that information to the EEOC, the OFCCP, and similar state and local regulatory agencies, or otherwise use or disclose it for business-related purposes such as responding to information requests, fulfilling regulatory reporting requirements, and defending against employment-related complaints.

5. Information You Share With Others or the Public

You may be able to upload or contribute UGC through the Service, including but not limited to textual content, user profiles, audio and/or video recordings, computer graphics, images, data, or other content, including Personal Information. Your UGC will be deemed “public” and accessible to anyone, including TJS, if you decide to post it in any publicly accessible part of the Service. No matter what, and subject to applicable law, and unless otherwise expressly agreed by Us, TJS’s usage or sharing limitations, or other obligations, regarding TJS-Collected-PI or other Personal Information under this Privacy Statement or otherwise, are applicable to Personal Information included in UGC. TJS and third parties may use and share UGC-related Personal Information to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. TJS advises you to use caution when deciding what information you reveal in such public spaces. To learn more about how UGC is handled in accordance with the Service’s Terms of Use.

The Service may also give you the choice to communicate with a friend or other contact. If so, TJS depends on you to send solely to those who have authorised you to do so. The Personal Information you give TJS about the recipient—such as name and email address—will be used to effectuate the communication but won’t be used by TJS for any other marketing objectives unless it receives the recipient’s consent. communications.The communication may contain your entire name, contact information, and message. Only friends with whom you have had direct voluntary two-way communications and with whom it is reasonable to infer that you have a personal relationship based on shared interests, experiences, opinions, and other relevant factors may give us their contact information on behalf of residents of other countries. Only family members to whom you are related by marriage, a common-law partnership, or parent-child relationships and with whom you have had direct consensual two-way communication are permitted to have their email addresses shared. 

6. Computer logging, cookies, and associated methods

Your browser or device may communicate with the technology that We utilise as part of Our Service when you use Our Service. When you use Our Service, for instance, your browser interacts with Our technology, which then logs your interactions and requests for services and content. This information helps Us manage and improve the functionality of Our Service as well as conduct research and analysis on how it is used. Your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, URL, requests made, pages viewed, actions taken on the pages, day and time of visits, and other associated technical usage information are examples of the forms of such Usage Information.

In order to authenticate you to the Service, to analyse how the Service is used, to link information about how you use the Service with your account, and to help us better tailor Our services, cookies and other tracking technologies (hereinafter referred to as “Tracking Technologies”) may be used to collect information about interactions with the Service or e-mails, including information about your browsing and purchasing behaviour. These technological tools are employed by Us as well as by Our Affiliates, Business Partners, and Service Providers. We may permit Our Service Providers or business partners to gather data through Tracking Technologies, such as the kind described above, in order to aid Us in measuring Service activity and delivering a better user experience. On the basis of your repeated visits to TJS and non-TJS websites, apps, and other online services over time, We may also permit Our third-party advertising and personalization partners to gather and use this information to create personalised content and suitable advertising (including for businesses that are not affiliated with Us). These adverts might appear on other websites, mobile apps, and online services. This data may also be used to assess the effectiveness of Our own and outside online marketing initiatives, as well as to personalise promotions and other marketing messages for you on Our Service and other websites, mobile applications, and online services. A flash cookie is a short text file that is saved on a user’s device and can be either a tracking cookie or a cookie with a session ID. You can navigate the Service more easily thanks to session cookies, which disappear when you exit your browser. Long-lasting tracking cookies improve user experience by enabling us to better understand how you use the Service. Cookies could stay on your computer’s hard disc for a long time. Some, but not all, cookie types may be deleted or disabled if you use your browser’s mechanism for doing so, which could prevent some features and functions of the Service from functioning. 7. Sharing and Storing of Data

To the extent permitted by applicable law and not inconsistent with this Privacy Statement or any written declarations made by TJS at the time of collection, TJS may release your information to third parties in the ways listed below, without limitation: – In the course of performing services on TJS’s behalf, its agents, vendors, consultants, and other service providers (collectively, “Service Providers”) may obtain access to or receive your information, including, without limitation, TJS-Collected-PI and other Personal Information, Demographic Information, and Usage Information. TJS, however, does not permit its Service Providers to use TJS-Collected-PI to send you direct marketing messages unrelated to the services they are providing.

  • We reserve the right to disclose your TJS-Collected-PI and other Personal Information in response to a court order, subpoena, search warrant, or request from law enforcement.
  • We reserve the right to disclose your TJS-Collected-PI, other Personal Information, and other information to third parties in connection with the sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer, or other disposition of all or any portion of Our business, assets, or stock, including any such activities related to a bankruptcy or similar proceeding.
  • For marketing and other business purposes, TJS may share your Personal Information with its connected companies and subsidiaries (hence, “Affiliates”) and other third parties, some of whom may be based outside of India.

Your Personal Information will be automatically transferred to TJS databases for storage and maintenance, some of which are situated outside of India, where it may be kept for a reasonable amount of time. The information TJS and its Service Providers acquire through the Service is subject to Indian law because it is based in India and intended for both Indian citizens and people outside of India. If you use the Service from a location outside of India, you should be aware that information you provide may be transferred to, processed, stored, and used in India. Indian data protection laws may differ from those in your country of residence and offer less consumer protection. Additionally, information transferred to India may be accessed by Indian governments and law enforcement in accordance with Indian laws. Your use of the Service or provision of any information through the Service thus represents your permission to the transfer to and from, processing, use, sharing, and storage of your information, including Personal Information, in India in accordance with this Privacy Statement.

8. Analytics, Third-Party Services, Social Features, Third-Party Content, and Third-Party Services

The Service may link to or feature third-party websites, locations, platforms, applications, or services (collectively, “Third-Party Service(s)”) on or in conjunction with the Service (for example, apps and plug-ins). These Third-Party Services might independently gather data about you and might ask you for personal information using their own cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies. The Third-Party Services’ privacy policies or content are not the responsibility of TJS. We suggest you to carefully read the privacy statements that apply to such Third-Party Services before using them because they may differ significantly from the TJS Privacy Statement.You acknowledge that TJS is not responsible for the conduct of or information contained in such Third-Party Services.

You can interact with some Third-Party Services, such as third-party social networks, using specific functionality on the Service (“Social Features”). You can connect the Service to a Third-Party Service in a variety of ways, such as by using Facebook Connect to sign in to the Service, “liking” or “sharing” TJS’s content, or by sending contacts and photos between the Service and the Third-Party Service (e.g., to pull or push information to or from the Service). Information you submit or grant access to through the use of Social Features and maybe other Third-Party Services may be publicly displayed on the Service or by the Third-Party Service you use. Similarly, you agree that your post may be used by TJS or other TJS Affiliates on or in connection with the Service or in another manner if you post content on a third-party service that refers to the Service (for example, by using a hashtag connected to TJS or other TJS Affiliates in a tweet or status update). In addition, TJS and the third party might have access to details regarding your use of the Service and any Third-Party Services, as well as information about you. 

To deliver advertisements on the Service and/or on services provided by other parties, TJS may collaborate and work with Service Providers and other third parties. Sometimes referred to as “interest-based advertising” or “online behavioural advertising,” some of these advertisements may be customised to your interests based on how you use the Service and other websites. This type of advertising, also known as “retargeting,” involves sending you advertisements on Third-Party Services after you have left the Service. For instance, the Service might use a “DoubleClick id-Cookie,” which could assign a pseudonymous identification to track DoubleClick advertising among other things. Google offers a service called DoubleClick. See section 11 below for details on how to opt out of interest-based advertising.

TJS may use additional service providers such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or others to provide analytics services. To assist TJS in analysing Service users and how they use the Service, these analytics services may make use of cookies and other Tracking Technologies. Your IP address and other usage data generated by these services may be transmitted to and stored by these service providers on servers located in India (or elsewhere), and these service providers may use this data for a variety of purposes, including assessing how you use the service, compiling reports on usage statistics, and offering additional services related to service activity and other Internet usage.

Data obtained by TJS from a third party, even in connection with the Service, is not subject to TJS’s limitations regarding TJS-Collected PI under this Privacy Statement, but such data still remains subject to any restrictions. This is true unless We combine information We receive from Service Providers, Third-Party Services, or other third parties with TJS-Collected PI, in which case TJS will treat the combined information as TJS-Collected PI under this Privacy Statement. To the extent that they continue to share information with TJS, the categories of information provided, and your preferences for what is visible to others on Third-Party Services, third parties’ information collection, storage, and sharing is still governed by their privacy policies and procedures.

TJS encourages you to become familiar with and review their privacy policies and terms of use because it disclaims responsibility and liability for any third parties’ policies or business practises, including without limitation analytics service providers and Third-Party Services linked to the Service. For additional information on specific options provided by some third parties with regard to the acquisition and use of their data, particularly with regard to analytics and interest-based advertising, see Section 11.

9. Monitoring and Security

TJS will take reasonable measures to guard against loss, unauthorised use, and alteration of your Personal Information (excluding publicly available UGC). People working for Our company, or Our third-party service providers, may have access to personal information if they need it to do the aforementioned tasks or other tasks that may be allowed or mandated by the relevant law. Although the internet and online digital storage are not completely secure, please be aware that any email or other transmission you send through the Internet cannot be completely protected against unauthorised interception. We do not guarantee the security of your information collected through the Service.

TJS-Collected PI and other Personal Information may be collected and used for any purposes not prohibited by applicable law or inconsistent with this Privacy Statement, including, without limitation, to identify fraudulent activities and transactions; prevent abuse of; and investigate and/or seek prosecution for any potential offences. We and Our Service Providers may monitor use of the Service, and may collect and use related information, including TJS-Collected PI and other Personal Information. Monitoring could involve gathering, recording, and analysing messages or online behaviour made possible through Our Service. You must stop using the Service immediately if you do not agree to these terms. 

10. Personal Information Use and Sharing Options

  • Tracking technologies, first Generally Regular cookies may typically be turned off or deleted using tools included with most commercial browsers, and in certain cases, they can be prevented from being used again in the future by making certain selections. You might need to set each browser independently because they all have various features and settings. Additionally, Flash cookies (also known as locally shared objects), HTML5 cookies, and other tracking technologies may not be effectively blocked by tools from commercial browsers. Please be aware that some features of the Service may not function if you disable or remove these technologies, and that when you visit the Service again, your ability to restrict browser-based Tracking Technologies is governed by the settings and restrictions of your browser.

TJS currently does not change TJS’s procedures when TJS detects a “Do Not Track” signal from a visitor’s browser, similar to many other online services. However, certain third parties could give you options when it comes to their tracking technologies. The accuracy or completeness of this tool, as well as any third-party choice notices or procedures, are not guaranteed by TJS. By submitting opt-out requests to industry programmes, you can decide whether to receive some interest-based advertising. The Digital Advertising Alliance’s (“DAA”) Self-Regulatory Program for Online Behavioral Advertising (“SRP”) may be utilised by some of the advertisers and Service Providers who carry out advertising-related tasks for Us and other parties. Visit http://www.aboutads.info/choices for information on your rights regarding interest-based advertising, and http://www.aboutads.info/appchoices for details on the DAA’s opt-out programme for mobile apps. Some of these businesses might also be NAI (“Network Advertising Initiative”) members. 

  • Please be aware that even if you choose not to get specific categories of interest-based advertising, you might still see other adverts. You will still receive targeted content and/or adverts if you choose to opt out, but those selected members will no longer offer specific Interest-Based Advertising to you (e.g., from other ad networks). Additionally, some businesses give customers a unique way to opt out. See here for more on the DoubleClick Interest-based Advertising options.   • Communications

By following the instructions in promotional emails to click the unsubscribe link or, if available, by changing your communication preferences by logging into your account; (ii) following the instructions in promotional text messages to text the word “STOP”; and (iii) turning off app push notifications, you can choose not to receive certain promotional communications (emails or text messages) from TJS at any time. Please be aware that your opt-out only applies to the specific email or phone number provided and will have no impact on any future memberships. Even if you choose not to receive some communications, you might still receive other subscription communications. TJS will continue to send you non-promotional messages, such as those pertaining to your account, transactions, servicing, or Our ongoing business interactions, according to applicable legislation, even if you choose to opt out of receiving promotional communications.

  • Career Center

You can access, review, edit, change, or remove your account profile information or resume at any time if you created a resume using Our Careers Center. Make the necessary modifications by simply logging into your account, going to your profile, or resume. You can remove your resume from Our online database at any time by logging into your account; however, We reserve the right to keep a copy for as long as reasonably necessary for record keeping purposes (b) and as required by applicable law, unless doing so is forbidden by applicable law.

11. Changing and Getting Access to Information

TJS may offer web pages or other mechanisms that let you remove, amend, or update some of the PI that TJS has collected on you as well as maybe other information (e.g., profile and account information). Using the contact details shown below, you can also ask for access to your personal information and ask that it be corrected if you think it’s erroneous. Before granting you access to your information, we could ask you to prove your identity.

It is not always possible to entirely update, erase, or delete all of your information or public postings from TJS’s databases, but TJS will make good faith attempts to implement requested changes in TJS’s then-active databases as quickly as practical. Furthermore, we reserve the right to keep data for as long as it is reasonable to do so in order to fulfill the reasons for which it is retained, excluding any instances in which doing so is prohibited by relevant law.
